Aircraft Recognition Playing Cards

New for 2025! The second edition of our Aircraft Recognition Playing Cards has been updated to reflect in-service aircraft from the United States Armed Forces as of 2025. This second edition contains 10 new aircraft, replacing aircraft that have been retired since our first edition launched in 2022.

Our modern "spotters" cards depict aircraft operated by the United States Armed Forces (as of 2025) and are the result of months of research and illustration. The result is a deck of standard playing cards that cover 52 different in-service aircraft and 3 jokers that depict training aircraft - everything you need for your favorite card game or a fun round of visrecce or visual recognition!

Each card contains illustrations created specifically for this deck of cards of the front, side, and bottom of an aircraft - views observers are most likely to see, paired with basic stats including wingspan, length, speed, and range.

Aircraft Recognition Playing Cards are modern interpretations of historical aircraft spotters cards used in World War II. Historically, spotters playing cards were developed and distributed to allied forces to help them identify and determine if aircraft flying above were friendly or foe.

This deck of cards is a great gift for aircraft lovers and aviation enthusiasts in your life. They contain useful information and facts about modern day aircraft and are fun to use at airshows and other events, as well as a fun piece of memorabilia. They're also great playing cards as the card symbols in the corners (pips) are a regular size, so solitaire, spoons, or your favorite game of choice isn't compromised by the illustrations on the cards.

Our custom-designed playing cards use standard-sized playing cards and contain 52 cards and 3 jokers. These cards are printed in the United States by Shuffled Ink on their linen card stock.
